High Hopes
Give it up for the 2009 Philadelphia Phillies. While everyone had high hopes for a repeat, some of us have failed to realize how special it is to make back-to-back World Series. Harry would’ve been so proud. Speaking of Harry, I just ordered an iron-on HK patch for my jersey—you should too.
With most of their star power returning, 2010 should be another productive year for the Phillies. Pitching obviously wins championships, and ours only got us so far in ‘09. Look for that to change in ‘10, and I would not be surprised to see a Phillies/Yankees Fall Classic repeat…with a much different outcome, of course.
Fear not, Philly fans. My gut tells me that there will be a parade this year—a green and silver one.
